Studio Policy for The Marvelous Music Piano Studio

Welcome to Marvelous Music! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you and/or your child to explore the joy of music. Please review the following studio policies to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.

Lesson Schedule

  • Lesson Duration: Each lesson is [30/45/60] minutes long.

  • Scheduling: Lessons are scheduled on a weekly or regular  basis at a mutually agreed-upon time. Please try and keep your lesson time consistent to ensure the best progress.

Late Policy

  • Arrival Time: Please arrive on time for your lesson. If you are running late, inform me as soon as possible. Lessons will end at the scheduled time, regardless of late arrival.

  • Teacher’s Late Arrival: In the event that I am late, I will make up the lost time or reschedule the lesson.

Cancellation Policy

  • Student Cancellations: If you need to cancel a lesson, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full lesson fee.

  • Make-Up Lessons: Make-up lessons are available only if notice is given at least 24 hours in advance and if my schedule allows. Otherwise, the lesson will be forfeited.

  • Studio Cancellations: In the case of studio cancellations due to illness or emergencies on my part, I will either reschedule the lesson or offer a credit for a future lesson.

  • Vacation/ Time off: I will give at least 2 weeks notice if I will be missing a lesson for a trip/performance or otherwise. I will offer the option to reschedule, or reconvene the following week. 

Tuition and Payment

  • Payment Due Date: Tuition is due the day of our lesson.

  • Payment Methods: Accepted payment methods include [cash/check/online payment platforms]. Please make checks payable to [Marvelous Music LLC]. My Venmo is Leo-Dreis . My Cashapp is $MarvelousMusicMGMT . My Paypal is @MarvelousMusicMGMT

  • Late Fees: A late fee of [$25] will be charged for payments received more than 5 business days after your lesson. Continuous late payments may result in suspension of lessons.

Attendance and Punctuality

  • Student Responsibility: Regular attendance is crucial for progress. Please inform me in advance if you know you will be missing a lesson.

  • Parent/Guardian Role: For young students, please ensure that they arrive and are picked up promptly for their lessons.

Communication

  • Preferred Contact: Please use [email/phone/text] to communicate any changes or issues regarding your lesson.

  • Studio Notices: Any changes to the schedule or important announcements will be communicated via [email/phone/text].

Studio Conduct

  • Parents are welcome to observe lessons but should minimize distractions.

  • Accompaniment: Students should bring their music books and any other materials required for the lesson.

Health and Safety

  • Illness: If a student is unwell, please reschedule the lesson to prevent the spread of illness.

  • Cleanliness: Please ensure that hands are clean before touching the piano. Hand sanitizer will be provided in the studio.

  • Emergency Contact: Please provide an emergency contact number in case of urgent situations during lessons.

  • We have 2 cats, please communicate with me ahead of time if you or your child is allergic, and I will make sure they are not present. 

Termination of Lessons

  • Notice Period: Either party may terminate lessons with a minimum of [two weeks] written notice.

  • Refund Policy: No refunds will be given for unused lessons if you decide to terminate lessons mid-month.
